South Beach Smoke
Quick summary: South Beach Smoke is solidly in the competition for best electronic cigarette, and lands in our top three for its nice taste, good throat hit and strong electronics. All of their e-juice is now made in the USA, too.
We first became aware of South Beach Smoke through the media, with a number of celebrities using them to vape. But when we got a chance to test their e-cigarette, we put aside the “hype” and were definitely impressed by the product, which has become one of our personal favorites.
The taste of South Beach was the first thing we noticed; it was one of the most pleasant tasting e-cigs we’ve tested, with the menthol, vanilla and peach particularly standing out. There was also a nice balance between smoothness and throat hit; the hit is noticeable but not overly strong. The vapor cloud wasn’t the biggest we’ve experienced, but it was close to the other top electronic cigarette brands we’ve reviewed. Cartridges currently come in 16 flavors: three tobacco, menthol, peppermint, chocolate, vanilla, cherry, pina colada and peach, plus a bunch of great new fruit flavors like lemon-lime and watermelon. There are five nicotine strengths: strong (24mg), full (16mg), light (12mg), ultra light (6 mg) and no nicotine. All eliquid is made in the USA, unusual among the brands we’ve tested.
We tested the deluxe ultimate starter kit, which came with just about everything you would need for a great vaping experience: one standard battery and two superMAX extra-capacity batteries, a USB charger, wall charger (not just an adapter, a full charger which was nice), a car adapter, a carrying case, a charging case to re-charge batteries while away from power sources, 20 cartridges and a power cig (that connects directly to your computer or other USB device). It’s the most complete kit we’ve seen. There are several lower-level, less expensive kits available as well and they also have more components than most competitors. Both battery and cartridge life were right around average (although the extra-capacity batteries lasted about 50% longer), with charging time a little better than most. The e-cigarette is solid and well-built, right up there with our other best electronic cigarettes.
South Beach Smoke also has an optional auto-delivery program, so that you don’t have to worry about reordering every time you run low on cartridges; it’s not for everyone but we think it’s a nice choice for regular vapers who don’t want to accidentally run out. There’s a lifetime warranty as well.
South Beach narrowly missed out on our top ranking because we personally prefer a stronger throat hit, but it’s an excellent e-cigarette well worth trying.

Great starter kits, all around great products!!!! I love how the starter kits mostly all come with 2 batteries, i really think you need a few of them to comfortably vape wherever/ whenever. I like the manual batteries more and they don’t last as long as the automatics, so its great for me to have more than one to use when one is charging, or dies out. I am a very heavy user too so this is just the system that works for me. I have to say- these are a great option for smokers to use as an alternative. I have felt much healthier and cleaner since I started using them a while back and they sure beat all the hangups i was dealing with when using cigarettes. the nonstop butts and ash and worrying if i smell is nice to not live with!
Awesome- south beach smoke, love the service and they have no problem taking care of my needs! I don’t want to sound like a brat but I expect a lot from a company I buy from and working with SBS over the phone – asking specific questions I know what I want they have always been excellent I am really satisfied with these e-cigs and the level of customer service!! Keep it up!!
There are e-cigarettes and then there’s SouthBeach Smoke. This has to be one of the more popular smoke alternatives, and I can say they definitely lighten up my stress levels. These products have great price points and I highly suggest home delivery/lifetime warranty option. My only suggestion would be to ease up on the price of shipping. Figure a better shipping method and they will come – in droves!
WOW- if these were around 10 years ago… that’s how long ive been trying to quit smoking. I highly recommend South Beach Smoke for e-cigs and accessories. Everything I wanted I got. Best decision ever was getting these. Gentle and easy to use, and they make quitting cigarettes really more doable. A little pricey in the beginning but it all evens out and comes out cheaper in the end. Fantastic vapor that feels like smoke. great flavors, love the menthol. love how they perform and they are super convenient. Its so nice using them indoors too, so when the weather is bad or cold, i dont have to head out. These have made my life so much easier.
Definitely found what I needed in an e-cigarette brand. Love the different extras they offer like the auto delivery- its like auto bill pay + benefits and savings. i wish i could get 20% off all my bills by being signed up to autopay, that’s for sure! Great ecigs though.
South Beach Smoke e-cigarettes WORK! I am very, very, very pleased to have tried them after being referred by a friend of a friend. Really the best way I think for a smoker to stop smoking is use these to transition. It was a really nice surprise to find out how well they work, because I was really not so sure about them when I first heard of them, and even after I placed my order I wondered if they would really work. I was happy to see that the purchase was very well worth it, and I will be placing another order soon for more cartridges! And i will be signing up for the delivery- they offer amazing deals on everything!
One thing I really like about South Beach over all other ecigs, their carts really hold flavor longer than anyone else. Lots of other ecigs seem to fade as you go through the cycle. I think I read it’s because South Beach uses 4 holes to draw air and it keeps it cooler. This is great!! Super throat hit with the tobacco flavors too! If you go with Vanilla or Chocolate you’ll get a little easier hit.
